400 Years of Chruch History
The CCARC will start a simple ‘contest’ to activate Historic Churches from around the County with the goal of doing one Church from each Century starting with the 1600’s up to the 1900’s.Contacts: Make 5 contacts on any band. This includes the use of a repeater for those who are only technicians. If more than one operator works the same Church, then each must use their own call signs.
Take a picture of the Church. Keep the file size small (no 10Mb pics)
Submit your log showing the date, time frequency, call sign and location, along with the picture. Submit your logs either via email to KB3KOW or at a club meeting. Include your current home address and email address. All entries may have information published on our website.The CCARC ‘COTA’ will start Start on 01 May and run to 01 May 2026.
Each person is responsible for ensuring any permissions needed to operate on Church grounds is received prior to activation.
This event is open to all licensed amateur operators who wish to participate. Please use the link below to download the list of Churches in the County that are part of the contest. This list is based on the Charles County Historic Register.
